Suqia volunteers take part in ‘Their Suhoor is on Us’ initiative

the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia), under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives is taking part in the ‘Their Suhoor is on Us’ initiative For the second consecutive year. This is organised by the Community Development Authority (CDA)’s Youth Council. The initiative distributes Suhoor meals to workers during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Suqia also contributed to the campaign by providing 48,000 Mai Dubai water cups.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Suqia, commended the initiative launched by CDA’s Youth Council, which affirms the keenness of Emirati youth to continue the path of giving instilled by the Founding Fathers in the hearts of Emiratis.

“In the month of giving, we recall the worthy values and principles established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who instilled the foundations of humanitarian work in the UAE. We are committed to strengthening social responsibility, consolidating volunteering among staff, and encouraging them to participate in various community and charity initiatives and programmes,” said Al Tayer.

“At Suqia, we believe the spirit of giving brings people together and has a special meaning during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Suqia participates in several charity and voluntary programmes and activities throughout the Holy Month inside and outside the UAE, in partnership with Mai Dubai and in collaboration with 14 local charities and foundations,” said Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of Suqia.
