The Customers Council at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has recently held a gathering with nol Card users at RTA’s Head office. The event, which saw intense participation of individuals and institutions, echoes the Council's strategy to communicate with all community segments benefiting from RTA’s services and probe their needs and expectations.

Present at the gathering were Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, RTA Board Member cum Chairman of Customers Council; and Khalid Al Awadi, Director of Automated Fare Collection Systems, among other directors of concerned departments of the RTA.

Al Mulla kicked off the gathering by welcoming attendees and highlighting the need for excellence in bringing happiness to all recipients of RTA services, including users of nol card. He described nol card as one of the vital services offered by the RTA to mass transit users be it residents, visitors or tourists.

The event witnessed extensive discussions where attendees came up with a plethora of ideas & suggestions, such as using nol card in paying for other RTA services such as vehicles testing, vehicle registration, and Salik. There was also a call to broaden the scope of using both nol Card to include mega commercial centres, and RTA e-Purse to include Salik top-up and other services.

During the gathering, a visual presentation was made highlighting the types, categories, uses and statistics of nol cards. It also explained the uses of the e-Purse for companies and the current & future uses of nol card in some landmarks, companies, and commercial outlets as well as the services of strategic partners such as public parks, banks. Discussions also touched on how to top up nol cards online or via other recharging machines at bus stops across Dubai.
