NBK Signs Partnership Agreement with Careem

Ensuring it offers the best and latest banking services and payment facilities to its customers, National Bank of Kuwait signed a partnership agreement with Careem, a leading car booking app, and that to provide customers with an online payments acquiring to facilitate seamless payments acceptance at the click of a button when using Careem’s car booking services.

Careem is the region's leading technology platform and has been operating in Kuwait since 2017. Leaders in the ride hailing industry, Careem have expanded to offer on demand delivery services and operates Careem Bus in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Careem operates in 14 countries across more than 100 cities in the greater Middle East and was recently acquired by Uber for a record $3.1billion.

Speaking of the latest agreement, NBK General Manager Consumer Banking Group, Mohammad Al Othman, said: "We are pleased to announce our latest partnership with Careem as part of our commitment to providing the best online payment solutions and at the highest standards of safety that enable customers to complete their transactions electronically and increase non-cash payments.”

He added that NBK has become the bank of choice of leading companies in supporting and developing their services in markets in which NBK operates, and specifically the Kuwaiti market. The Bank’s ongoing partnership with leading organizations reaffirms the level of excellence and competitiveness of its products and services locally and through its globally present operations.

Al Othman affirmed that the partnership falls in line with NBK’s efforts to developing integrated and advanced banking solutions that facilitate customers and businesses’ daily transactions. The partnership between NBK and Careem gives customers an easy, safe and convenient way to pay every time.

NBK is constantly expanding its products and services to provide customers with easy and secure payment solutions that meet their needs and banking requirements.

The Bank ensures that these solutions and every other service are secure every time customers use them. NBK Mobile Banking App is regularly updated, and recently introduced new updates and services for a fully-secure banking experience when customers manage their accounts and complete one of many banking transactions available through the app.

The regular updates and enhancements on NBK Mobile Banking App ensure that the latest payment services are available to customers and that they meet their needs. These include the Swift Tracker Service through which customers can track their money transfers conveniently anytime, anywhere by simply logging in to the NBK Mobile Banking App and clicking on the account statement history to view the status of their transfer.

NBK also launched the Standing Orders service that will allow customers to establish a monthly standing order through the Mobile Banking App to make automatic recurring transfers, in addition to making amendments or deleting these standing orders.

The NBK Mobile Banking App also features the e-Payments Service to make electronic payments for purchases at a large number of local and international companies such as telecoms, retail facilities, entertainment and more. As for the Quick Pay feature, NBK provides its customers with an easy way to receive or transfer amounts from and to friends, or make payments for bills immediately even on weekends or public holidays.
