Careem Introduces its Latest Innovation in Smartphone Apps Industry in Jordan

Careem, the leading ride-hailing service in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has officially announced the launch of its latest innovative service "SAWA" in Jordan, which grants users the option of sharing their ride with other Careem passengers. With SAWA, Careem customers will be to reduce the cost of their trip by 35 percent, while still enjoying the same exceptional service.

Customers who decide to use SAWA can simply select this new option from the application, and then book a seat alongside other passengers commuting in the same direction. Not only is this service is a competitive and more practical way to travel, it’s also an environmentally friendly strategy, where will be able to reduce carbon emissions across the Kingdom.

Commenting on the launch of SAWA in Amman, the Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Careem, Ibrahim Manna, said, “At Careem, we are always looking for new ways to innovate and develop our services, in order to better meet the needs of our diverse customers and improve the Kingdom’s transportation sector as a whole. We are thrilled to launch SAWA in Jordan, and to introduce a new concept for local commuters – one that is both more cost-effective and more social.
