du congratulates the latest graduates from UAE Consortium-led INSEAD Executive Leadership Programme

Dubai - MENA Herald: The third Cohort of the INSEAD Executive Leadership Programme was recognised during a graduation ceremony held recently in du main headquarters in Dubai Media City. du’s support of the collaboration is a testament to its support of the UAE leaderships’ vision of progressing towards a knowledge based economy. The event was attended by INSEAD Dean of Executive Education along with several senior executives from leading companies that participated in the program.

du pioneered the leadership consortium by bringing together major companies in the Emirates through a comprehensive leadership development program, designed with and delivered by INSEAD Business School.  

Graduation ceremony was attended by Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei (Chief Executive Officer of UAE Operations at Emirates Global Aluminum); Abdulla Obaidalla (Chief Operating Officer of wasl Asset Management Group), Jassem Mohammed Al Jasmi ( General Manager of Human Resources at wasl Asset Management Group); Shirish Bhide (Chief Credit Officer at First Gulf Bank); Samer Alhaj (Chief Financial Officer at Dubai Holding Group); Yousef Al Mulla )Chief Strategy Officer at Dubai Holding Group); Nasser Al Awadhi (Chief Human Capital Officer at Dubai Holding Group); and Ibrahim Nassir (Chief Human Capital and Administration Officer at du).

We are thrilled to congratulate the latest cohort of graduates from the INSEAD Executive Leadership Programme,” said Ibrahim Nassir, Chief Human Capital and Administration Officer, du.

Launched in 2012, the INSEAD Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) was conceived and designed to bring a higher level of training to senior executives in the UAE. Each cohort is 18 months long and includes, in addition to classroom learning, real business case studies from UAE companies and CEO panels for learning from those who have achieved well in the business world. Overall, 87 executives have graduated from three cohorts – 18 of which were from du. In addition to other executives from leading UAE companies including; EGA, FGB, wasl Asset Management Group, Dolphin Energy, Dubai Holding, Mubadala, Petroleum Institute, ENOC and Ericsson.

Ismail Mohammed, Senior Vice President Customer Operations at du who was one of the INSEAD Executive Leadership Programme graduates, said: “I would like to thank du's CHCAO and CEO for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a relevant program for educating business leaders. I found that program cultivates your skills to be more confident in tackling business challenges. It does this by, not only providing best practice case studies, but also showing you how to look at your challenges from different perspectives, creating the opportunities to find more creative and innovative solutions.”

Commenting on the program, graduate Suhail Haddaji, Vice President Product Development at du, said: “This program made a positive impact on us and helped us improve our leadership skills. It is our turn to make positive impact on our customers, our teams and our company.”

In continuation of its support to drive the UAE knowledge based economy, du launched du University earlier this year, which includes schools of leadership and sales management for all staff members. To support lifelong learning that inculcates a customer-centric service culture, du offers more several learning opportunities for competency and management development across all levels.
