Mashreq Bank, in collaboration with Waypoint Systems FZCO, announced the launch of Poynt Smart Terminals in the United Arab Emirates. The launch marks the UAE’s leading financial institution’s inaugural introduction of smart payment terminals to merchants in the region.
The Poynt Smart Terminal offers an exciting range of features for retailers; it is equipped to accept a wide range of payment types including credit and gift cards, NFC such as Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay and QR Code based payments such as AliPay. Most compelling for retailers is their ability to seamlessly integrate the Poynt platform into their existing store architecture, customize and publish enterprise-grade apps to the Poynt App Marketplace, utilize advanced terminal and asset management tools, and leverage Poynt’s mobile form factor to accept payments anywhere.
