al khaliji hosts Carnegie Mellon (CMU-Q) students

Doha – MENA Herald: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) P.Q.S.C., Qatar’s next generation bank, recently hosted Carnegie Mellon students at its headquarters, where they were taken on a tour of the Bank’s various departments and taught about the role and functions of each.

The visit came in the framework of the two parties’ joint cooperation, and is considered the first of a series of initiatives and programs that will be carried out with Carnegie Mellon students.

Through the MoU signed in January between al khaliji and Carnegie Mellon intend to create close cooperation and coordination between the two organizations, and serves to strengthen the potential of students in various fields.

The two parties will also be organizing joint specialized conferences, seminars and workshops, in addition to encouraging students to engage in volunteer work during al khaliji’s activities for community service in Qatar.

al khaliji’s collaboration with Carnegie Mellon is part of the Bank’s pursuit to partner with leading local institutions in various fields and disciplines, with the aim of raising the bar of performance and the standards of service at al khaliji, while advancing the Bank’s community development efforts in Qatar, as part of its all-encompassing CSR program.
