MD & CEO of DEWA leads delegation to Singapore

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), led a delegation from DEWA to Singapore to promote bilateral relations and exchange best global experiences in sustainability as well as in renewable and clean energy.

Al Tayer was accompanied by Saleh Saif Al Sharqi, Head of Political, Economic and Media section at the UAE Embassy in Singapore, Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA; Jamal Shaheen Al Hammadi, Vice President of Clean Energy & Diversification at DEWA; Dr Saif Almheiri, Vice President of Research & Development at DEWA; Ahmed Abdullah, Senior Manager –External Communications; and a number of DEWA officials.

During his visit, Al Tayer visited the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS),  in the National University of Singapore (NUS). SERIS specialises in research and development on applied solar technologies as well as their integration into energy and building systems. Al Tayer met with Dr. Thomas REINDL, Deputy CEO of SERIS. SERIS has extensive experience in the field of floating photovoltaic solar power plants

Al Tayer was briefed on the latest developments and global technologies in the construction of floating photovoltaic solar power plants.

Al Tayer along with the accompanying delegation visited also the world's largest floating PV testbed in Tengeh Reservoir in Singapore.
