Dubai - MENA Herald:

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services enabling the issuance of approvals for ambulance vehicles operated by private health entities online. This move is a part of RTA’s strategy to step up cooperation with all Dubai Government departments and share information and knowledge in relevant fields.

Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Licensing Agency; and Khalifa Al Darai, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, signed the MoU in RTA Head Office in the presence of several directors and officials from both entities.

“The signing of the MoU stems from the commitment of the RTA to engage in fruitful cooperation with Dubai Government departments in the interest of clients of all parties and the community as a whole. The MoU entitles the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services access to the SDDI for issuing online approvals to ambulance vehicles operated by private health entities. The procedure is conducted under RTA’s laws governing this service. The MoU also calls for providing the required technical support and training for the Corporation employees on the operation of the System,” explained Al Ali.

“The online system will save the time and effort of private health entities seeking NOCs. It facilitates the procedures of availing licensing services online without obliging clients to visit service centres to submit documents. It realises the directives of our leaders to ease the delivery of services, switch to a paperless government environment and cut short procedures of availing the service. Thus, it contributes to RTA’s strategy aimed at integrating services through establishing online links with government entities undertaking jobs related to the scope of the RTA,” added Al Ali.

Khalifa Al Darai expressed his delight to continue cooperation with the RTA in all fields of relevance. “The signing of this MoU will immensely facilitate the issuance of NOCs to private health institutions and shorten the processing time. Our coordination with the RTA sets a model of integrated services of Dubai Government Departments; which serves the interest of the community and fulfils the ambitions of beneficiaries for our services as well as the services of the RTA,” said Al Darai in a concluding remark.
