Dubai Parks and Resorts on a mission to hire top local talents at Careers UAE 2016

Dubai - MENA Herald: Dubai Parks and Resorts, set to become the Middle East’s largest integrated theme park destination on its opening in October this year, has announced its participation in this year’s Careers UAE, takes place from May 16th to 18th at the Dubai World Center, in search of skilled, bright Emirati talent. Job seekers will be interviewed by the destinations’ recruitment team onsite, while exceptional candidates who pass the interview process successfully will be offered employment contracts right away.

In line with the Dubai Plan 2021 and 7-Year National Agenda, Dubai Parks and Resorts’ goal is to invest in and grow a new generation of national talent for the leisure entertainment industry to ensure the long-term sustainability of the sector in the region. This complements the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to nurture and empower Emirati skillsets in all business sectors.

As part of its Emiratisation programme, Dubai Parks and Resorts aims to recruit close to 1000 Emiratis, and has launched three initiatives so far; Forsati, Sahim, and Helmi, which offer Emiratis of all career levels, from new graduates to future leaders, an inspiring range of job opportunities.

Job seekers at Careers UAE will have the chance to meet the ten “Helmi” scholarship programme graduates, who recently returned from the United States after undertaking a six-month intensive course in Theme Park Management at the University of Central Florida, Orlando. “Helmi” programme graduates will share the knowledge and expertise they gained while working at several theme parks, as part of Dubai Parks and Resorts scholarship.

Dubai Parks and Resorts will feature motiongate™ Dubai – a movie based theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate as well as the region’s first LEGOLAND® Park and a LEGOLAND® Water Park. Committed to bringing together the best of the East and West, Dubai Parks and Resorts will also feature Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, the first theme park based on the sights and sounds of Bollywood. The entire destination will be connected by Riverland™ Dubai – a retail, dining and entertainment walkway and guests can stay at the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian-themed resort catering to families.
