Dubai South and Dubai Quality Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation in exchanging expertise, enhancing quality and excellence, developing institutional performance, and providing mutual support. The agreement is aimed at enabling the two parties to collaborate in attaining key mutual goals.
In line with the MoU, Dubai South and Dubai Quality Group have committed to work together towards elevating institutional performance and adopting quality standards and excellence in the former’s initiatives and directives. This will be achieved through the guidance, support, and training of Dubai South employees in the foundations and methodologies of quality and institutional excellence. In addition, Dubai South employees will be supported in staying abreast of developments in the fields of management, leadership, and quality in order to boost the organization’s growth and success.
The agreement was signed yesterday by His Excellency Khalifa Suhail Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and Her Excellency Fatma Buti Al Mheiri, Chairperson of the Dubai Quality Group Board of Directors, at the headquarters of Dubai South, in the presence of officials from both organizations.
H.E Khalifa Suhail Al Zaffin, said: “The signing of the MoU with the Dubai Quality Group falls within Dubai South's drive to set standards for excellence, uniqueness, and creativity in each of its modern projects - measures that will serve to reflect the concepts of happiness promoted by Dubai Plan 2021.”
H.E. Al Zaffin emphasized Dubai South’s endeavor to embrace the key principles of comprehensive quality and standards of excellence. He further highlighted Dubai South’s drive to apply the latest practices in this realm, by drawing on the expertise of Dubai Quality Group, in order to ensure that it is aligned with Dubai’s transformation into one of the world’s most preferred destinations.
Al Zaffin affirmed that these measures also serve to contribute towards achieving the broader goal of building a happy society, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.
“As part of its strategic plan and under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, the Dubai South project seeks to provide strategic benefits that meet the highest standards of quality, excellence, and sustainability across all its facilities and services. Such endeavors aim to support the city’s development towards becoming the preferred destination for leading international companies. Additionally, the initiatives will establish Dubai as an integrated economic platform that meets the needs of various business activities and a futuristic city for business, living, and investment,” Al Zaffin added.
Al Zaffin also praised the efforts of Dubai Quality Group and its active role in spreading the culture and principles of quality and institutional excellence in Dubai and the UAE. He noted that the signing of the MoU with Dubai Quality Group paves the way for a new phase of work and achievements by Dubai South, that are in accordance with the criteria of comprehensive excellence. This will, in turn, enhance Dubai South’s prominence within Dubai’s economic landscape, highlighting its role in the city’s commercial development by delivering strong performance and growth, in tandem with Dubai’s efforts to become an integrated city.
On her part, Her Excellency Fatma Buti Al Mheiri said: “We are delighted to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai South and to build a strategic partnership between the two organizations. Through this partnership we aim to leverage Dubai Quality Group’s expertise in developing a high-caliber, unique and pioneering project for Dubai South. We will achieve this through close collaboration in order to enhance quality standards and institutional excellence across the project’s practices, performance, and tasks.”
Al Mheiri affirmed that the signing of the MoU reflects the commitment of Dubai South in adopting the highest standards of quality and excellence to achieve its ambitious goals and activities, especially given that these standards are considered prerequisites for any project or organization looking to achieve sustainable success and key objectives and establish itself as a leader in its field.
Al Mheiri pointed out that in joining the list of Dubai Quality Group partners, Dubai South is aligned with the Group's strategy to build and consolidate effective relationships with the largest number of institutions operating in Dubai and the UAE. The move further serves to support Dubai Quality Group’s diligent efforts to promote quality, excellence, innovation, and leadership practices, which is in line with the 2021 vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.
The MoU enables Dubai South, one of the world's largest development projects, to exchange expertise with Dubai Quality Group and obtain the latest in regional and international information relating to institutional excellence and advancement. In addition, it will aid Dubai South in its efforts to organize local benchmarking visits.
