Bishr Ibrahim Baker appointed EY MENA Markets Leader

EY announces the appointment of Bishr Ibrahim Baker as Markets Leader across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, effective 01 July 2019.

Bishr will oversee the MENA growth strategy with a focus on digital transformation and innovation across services lines, regional geographies and the key sectors of Government and Public Sector; Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction; Energy; Financial Services; and Consumer and Technology, Media, and Entertainment.

Bishr has been with EY for over 17 years and prior to this role, was the Managing Partner of EY Jordan, Iraq, and Syria. He has sponsored the global Entrepreneur Of The Year TM in Jordan since 2011, delivering on the EY promise to create a Better Working World by recognizing and celebrating leading entrepreneurs.

Bishr has over 30 years of experience in audit and transaction services covering financial services, telecommunications, and government. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the Jordan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
