Emirates’ inaugural flight to Porto departed this morning from Dubai International Airport, with a VIP delegation on board the flight. Flanked by Emirates Cabin Crew, from left to right are: Gil Azevedo, Senior Vice President Head of Consumer Banking, Emirates Islamic Bank; Jose Silva, Chief Executive Officer, Jumeirah Group; His Excellency Joaquim Moreira De Lemos, Ambassador, Embassy of Portugal in the UAE; Thierry Aucoc, Emirates’ Senior Vice President - Commercial Operations Europe and Russian Federation; Caetano Leito, President Portuguese Business Council; and Marwan Bin Essa, Senior Manager Procurement and Corporate Services, The General Secretariat of the Executive Council Dubai.

Flight EK197, operated by a Boeing 777-200LR, departed Dubai at 9:15am and is expected to land at Porto Airport at 2:30pm. Porto marks Emirates’ 2nd destination in Portugal and 158th destination on the airline’s global network.
