Sony Sponsors Sixth Spinney’s Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge

Dubai - MENA Herald: Sony has announced its support to Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge that will take place at the Dubai Autodrome on 10 and 11 December.

In 2014, the highly anticipated cycling event attracted more than 1,500 cyclists, with over 50 flying in from around the world to participate. This year, the event is expected to gain even further international attraction and draw around 2,000 participants with a new race distance of 53km being introduced.  

As part of its support, Sony is set to display some of its best products for capturing such events including the 4K FDR-X1000VR Action Cam which allow users to capture first person POV (point-of-view) in 4K footage. The colour and clarity of 4K also brings an immersive new dimension to textures and landscapes. The FDR-X1000VR allows users to record Full HD video at 120p and HD video at 240p, offering features such as cinematic slow-motion through the free Action Cam Movie Creator software.

The weekend long event kicks off with the junior rides of 15km for ages 7-11, followed by 30km for ages 12-17. Day two sees the challenge rides with the new 53km race open to all as well as the 92km classic challenge which will see participants navigate the streets of Dubai.
