Held at the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, Dubai, the one day event saw ICT leaders and experts share ideas and insights on how IT organizations can best tackle emerging challenges in this exciting era of digital transformation.
Themed “Inspire Business”, the event follows after the The Information Generation: Transforming the Future study that reported a significant impact on customer expectations and demands from business as we continue to witness the emergence of an ever growing global community of digital citizens.
According to the study, 62% of respondents in UAE and Saudi Arabia reported that the rapid adoption of mobile, social, cloud and big data technologies is changing customer behaviour. 63% believe that customers want access to services faster, 56% believe that customers want 24/7 access and connectivity, 51% believe that customers want a personalized experience and 43% believe that customers want access on an increasing number of multi-channel platforms.

Designed to be a comprehensive knowledge exchange platform, EMX Xchange Day Dubai is aimed at helping ICT leaders maintain the delicate balance between innovation and cost reduction. In line with the region’s growing focus on the transformation of their urban centers into Smart Cities, during a dedicated session, experts presented detailed insights on the ICT building-blocks to create intelligent, data driven communities and cities. The session extended an in depth presentation of the EMC Federation Smart City Platform, an open, agile, software-defined and data analytics driven solution designed to deliver the speed, performance and scalability needed for hyper-connected, data-driven cities. Comprising three critical layers, the platform brings together best-of-breed technologies from EMCII, VMware, VCE, Pivotal, RSA and Virtustream to host the applications of today and to enable the development of Cloud Native applications which will enables the Cities to accelerate innovation adoption, deliver superior, fast and personalized Citizens and businesses experience and achieve agility and sustainability.
