Islamic Finance career prospects on the rise

Dubai - MENA Herald: With the Islamic banking market valued at over USD1.1 trillion, combined with the estimated growth rate of up to 20% year on year, the need for human capital to address Islamic finance markets demands is higher than ever. According to industry estimates, at least 50,000 professionals are needed over the next seven years to service this fast growing sector.

Highlighting the growing prominence of Islamic Finance in the region, CIMA will be conducting a high value intensive workshop in December for Islamic Finance professionals and aspirants on insights, updates and a development programme on competencies in Islamic Capital Markets with Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar.

In addition to being the CIMA Islamic Finance Qualification course developer, Dr. Bakar is also the founder of Amanie Group, Chairman of Shariah Advisory Council at Central Bank of Malaysia and a member of numerous Shariah Boards of financial institutions globally.

The workshop participants will get an opportunity to learn about applying Shari'ah principles in generating new Islamic finance products and will be given an opportunity to be awarded the global CIMA Certification in Islamic Capital Market at the end of a two day programme.

CIMA’s Islamic finance qualifications have won many awards including the 'Best training institution' at the 2015 Islamic Business and Finance Awards for its outstanding contribution towards the training and education of professionals in the field of Islamic finance.
