Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald:

Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the entity mandated to promote Abu Dhabi as an attractive global destination for investments in various strategic sectors, and the International Real Estate and Investment Show (IREIS), signed an agreement to host the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum on the sidelines of IREIS 2018.

Set to run at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 1 to 3, 2018, IREIS will bring together leading local and international real estate developers and agents from across the world on a unified platform. In addition to Abu Dhabi Investment Forum, IREIS will also include the Residency & Citizenship Expo 2018.

This partnership between ADIO and IREIS is aligned with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, which aims to build a diversified, sustainable, pro-investment and knowledge-based economy in the emirate.

IREIS is anticipated to attract over 12,000 visitors and 125 local, regional and international companies and showcase a wide range of major real estate projects within the UAE and abroad.

Under the agreement, ADIO will support IREIS as a strategic partner in organizing Abu Dhabi Investment Forum 2018, a specialized investment conference that features several sessions. Drawing the participation of several ministers, business leaders, government officials, academia and heads of international organizations, the event will allow participants to explore the advantage of investing in Abu Dhabi, learn about the promising investment opportunities in the emirate, and build partnerships between investors and developers.

Ahmed bin Ghannam, Deputy CEO of ADIO, said: "We are delighted to participate in IREIS, which plays a key role in supporting real estate investment in Abu Dhabi through attracting a large number of exhibitors and international visitors. The collaboration between IREIS and ADIO offers tremendous scope for public-private partnerships. ADIO will offer its crucial support during and after the event. We invite all exhibitors and visitors to benefit from the unique opportunities created by IREIS and capitalize on the advantages Abu Dhabi offers as an international investment destination. In addition, the recent economic stimulus package announced by the Government of Abu Dhabi will facilitate further opportunities for doing business in the emirate."

ADIO aims to connect private and public entities such as IREIS, attract foreign direct investment, and build investor confidence and awareness about the investment opportunities within the emirate. The entity also provides investors with comprehensive information on the business environment, facilitates public-private partnerships and supports local investors. Furthermore, it collaborates with strategic partners to enable efficient business set up in Abu Dhabi.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hosani, ADIO Advisor, said: "We are delighted to witness the growth in stature of IREIS as a major event that attracts several high-profile exhibitors and visitors from various international markets. At ADIO, we look forward to creating long-term synergies with IREIS to promote the emirate of Abu Dhabi in local and international markets.”

Antoine Georges, Managing Director at Dome Exhibitions, said: "We are encouraged by the support the Abu Dhabi Investment Office has provided us in facilitating this partnership. In a short span of time since its inception, ADIO has established itself as a one stop window for investors and visitors keen to invest in Abu Dhabi.  This support validates the role of IREIS in supporting the economy of the UAE and will allow us to work together in facilitating further investment in the emirate through close collaboration with relevant entities. In addition, it will enable exhibitors to benefit from the many advantages created by IREIS.”

Nick Cole, Director of Conference at Dome Exhibitions, said: “Over the past 10 years, IREIS has offered tremendous benefits to both local and international exhibitors. At IREIS, we seek to create significant value for investors, exhibitors and the UAE economy. We have launched Abu Dhabi Investment Forum as a platform that facilitates the brainstorming of ideas to drive the future growth of the UAE economy, increase investor confidence and attract foreign direct investment to the country. We have also expanded the main international exhibition arena to create a profitable platform for local and international companies and support their continued expansion."
