ADIB celebrates new UAE National graduates from its Tamkeen and Qiyadat leadership programs

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, has celebrated the graduation of 24 employees from two of its flagship leadership training programs, Tamkeen and Qiyadat. The awarding ceremony took place at the American University in the Emirates (AUE).

Tamkeen, marking its fourth successful year in operation, is designed to empower ADIB’s diverse talent pool of Emirati women by giving them the essential tools to enhance their progression to senior roles within the bank. This year, 9 candidates successfully completed the program.

Qiyadat continues to offer ADIB staff first-hand experience in management, problem solving and relationship building. Qiyadat had 19 UAE National graduates complete the program in the last year.

Addressing the graduates, Khamis Buharoon at ADIB, said: “Our role as one of the leading financial institutions in the UAE comes with great responsibility. We are firm believers in the power of investing in our employees, our most valuable assets, and the great success that comes from harnessing their talents. Each one of you showcased real potential through graduating from these programs. We have great confidence that with the skillsets you have gained and the commitment you all possess, you will make a major contribution to the bank’s future and the nation’s economic prosperity.”

UAE nationals make approximately 36 percent of ADIB’s employees contributing to the bank’s strong performance-based culture. The bank has also adopted the new points-based system approved by the UAE government to promote the entry of UAE nationals into the financial sector and promote career development.

ADIB has received numerous awards for its Emiratization programs, including the award for Best Nationalization Initiative and Excellence in Talent Management from the MENA HR Awards, and the Human Resource Development Award from the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies.
