Dubai - MENA Herald:

The Sustainable City – the Middle East’s first fully fledged sustainable development – has won two top accolades at the International Property Awards 2017 including the coveted ‘Best Mixed-Used Development in the Middle East’ and ‘Best Public Service in the Middle East’ awards. Diamond Developers, the company behind The Sustainable City, was represented by CEO Faris Saeed at the awards ceremony.

Faris Saeed commented: “At The Sustainable City, our mission is to offer our residents an exceptional quality of life and a state-of-the-art residential environment, combined with fully integrated sustainable solutions that further our government’s vision for a cleaner and brighter future. The sustainable solutions and green design of the city go beyond residential villas and include state of the art educational, health, and leisure facilities. We are honoured to have received these awards because they prove that sustainability can be applied to all kinds and sizes of developments.”

The Sustainable City is a mixed-se development spread over five million square feet, incorporating residential villas, the recently launched Indigo Hotel, a soon-to-open school, and comprehensive rehabilitation hospital. The community focuses on the three elements of sustainability – social, environment and economics – and stands as a unique blueprint for sustainable, clean and responsible living that supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy and the Dubai Plan 2021.

The recognition follows The Sustainable City’s impressive performance at the Arabian Property Awards earlier this year, where it won the ‘Best Residential Development’, ‘Best Residential Property’, ‘Best Mixed-Use Development’ and ‘Best Public Service Development’ awards. So far this year, The Sustainable City has also received other top awards including the ‘Happiest Community’ at the inaugural Gulf Real Estate Awards hosted in April 2017.
