Fahim Al Qasimi inaugurates “Acres Middle East 2017”

Sharjah - MENA Herald: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations, inaugurated today the 4th Middle East Investment and Real Estate Exhibition and conference (Acres Middle East 2017), which runs till March 23rd 2017.

Organized by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department in collaboration with the SCCI’s Real Estate Sector Working Group, the opening ceremony was attended by HE Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, and Mr. Saeed Ghanaim Al Suwaidi, Head of the SCCI’s Real Estate Sector Group.

Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, accompanied by a number of officials, toured the exhibition areas and met with a number of exhibitors who presented a brief on their existing and future projects.

This year, Acres Middle East attracted 45 local, regional and international exhibitors representing a spectrum of the real estate sector, including real estate development, investment, and related services. International participants are seeking to benefit from the facilities, incentives and investor-friendly regulations in Sharjah, in addition to the Emirate’s strategic location as a business hub in the region and an attractive investment destination.

Al Owais said that SCCI strives to advance the real estate sector through organizing this event, which sheds light on the urban development in the Emirate, and promotes investment opportunities available in this vital sector.

He stressed the importance of the event as a business-to-business networking platform for real estate professionals, giving them the chance to exchange industry knowledge and and do business with each other.

Al Owais hailed the importance of Acres 2017 in highlighting the facilities and regulations that support real estate investment in the Emirate of Sharjah, via a number of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions hosted by relevant department directors in Sharjah and sector leaders in the Emirate.

For his part, Saeed Al Suwaidi expected a resounding success to the exhibition - in line with the growth in the real estate sector in Sharjah- along with a remarkable demand from investors and end-users, particularly with the available financing facilities and options.

Al Suwaidi added that the Acres Middle East has become a highly-anticipated event for the business and real estate community. He commended the outstanding efforts made by SCCI in presenting the investment opportunities in various local, regional and international platforms. He praised the dedicated and coordinated efforts made by all real estate stakeholders in Sharjah to ensure the event will be a huge success.

Khaled Mohammed director of Acres 2017, said that the exhibition is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to promote their existing and reveal their future projects, and for financing providers to offer their financing plans and solutions to potential buyers.

Abdelaziz Fikri, Senior Manager of ASIO, comments on its successful participation at ACRES: “Platforms like ACRES allow groundbreaking projects like ASIO to be featured on a regional and global scale. This facilitates a closer connection to clients and allows developers to show how our projects can benefit our clients in the short and long term.”

He added: “There are great advantages to be gained from investing in ASIO. It is an initiative that seeks to develop the industrial, mixed use and retail real estate sector of the Emirate, in line with the government’s development plans, and in response to the increasing demand from investors and residents. It has a high return on investment (ROI) as a result of the expected great demand from local, regional and international investors. Likewise, investors will benefit from the range of advantages from investing in ASIO at present and in the future.”

En Ahmad Al Amiri, General Manager of ASAS, said: “We are striving to support the efforts that aim to promote the emirate as an attractive destination for investment in all economic sectors. SIB exhibited through ASAS’ stand to offer our real estate finance solutions, through which we are seeking to support the development of the real estate sector in Sharjah and the UAE.”

He clarified that ASAS Real Estate has exhibited a diverse range of projects, including attractive financing offers for those looking to own a residential unit or office space in ASAS Tower. Other projects on display included Al Hoshi Villas, which is strategically located on Maliha Road which connects Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road directly to Emirates Road, and Al Falah Project on Muweilah Road, which features a direct view on Al Dhaid Road, adjacent to Sharjah International Airport and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

The 3-day event is organized with support from Expo Center Sharjah, and sponsored by Sharjah Municipality, Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, Sharjah Directorate of Housing, Sharjah Media Corporation, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Al Saja'a Industrial Oasis, Emirates Industrial City, Fam Holding, and Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority.
