HONEYWELL’S CONNECTED TECHNOLOGIES FOR SMART, ENERGY EFFICIENT CITIES ON SHOW AT WETEX 2017

the global software-industrial company, will showcase connected technologies to make cities smarter and more energy efficient at the 19th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2017), being held Oct. 23-25, 2017, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center.

Smart metering and software solutions for Connected Utilities will be a key focus for the company, along with technologies that promote smart and energy efficient outcomes for homes, buildings, industries, and workers.

At the show, Honeywell will demonstrate energy management software as well as smart electricity, gas, and water metering technology from Honeywell Smart Energy, which are helping utilities across the world improve system reliability, enhance operational efficiency, create better customer service, and achieve environmental sustainability goals.

The Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) Orion will also be showcased, which features advanced Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) capabilities. The solution helps industrial plants further optimize automation project execution, reduce loop commissioning time, minimize operational risk and protect intellectual investments while keeping current with today’s technology. Honeywell will also highlight its innovative voice technology solutions, Honeywell Vocollect™, which helps companies with mobile workers run better and more effective business operations.

Other technologies on display will include its climate control solutions such as the VisionPRO® 8000 Thermostat for Mosques and the Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat® that delivers the ultimate in convenience and control while facilitating energy efficiency in homes. The thermostat can be easily managed with Honeywell’s Total Connect Comfort app which is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems, and available for download on the App Store and Play Store respectively. 

On Day 1 of WETEX 2017, Oct. 23, Norm Gilsdorf will deliver a keynote address from 12.00pm to 12.30pm, titled ‘How Connected Technology Can Power Smart Cities’ in the Al Multaqua Ballroom, Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center.
