The solar park is the largest single-site solar park in the world based on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model, with a capacity of 5000 megawatts (MW) by 2030 and total investments worth AED 50 billion.

The Innovation Centre aims to highlight the latest technologies related to solar and clean technology, enabling DEWA to showcase its achievements in renewable energy and sustainability as well as highlight the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to make Dubai a global hub for clean energy and green economy.

The Innovation Centre’s unique design reflects the identity of the solar park, a pioneering example of sustainable development in the region and the world. The centre aims to support national capabilities in the energy field, enhance the competitiveness of Dubai's business, develop renewable energy technologies, support the development of the sector in the region, and promote awareness of climate change and sustainable energy as well as create special, interactive presentations, and educational trips for guests on solar energy.

The Centre will be a museum and exhibition of solar and renewable energy that will attract tourists, universities, schools, companies, and partners. It will be open to solar manufacturers and developers as it includes a specialised venue and a permanent conference centre for events, conferences, business meetings, training courses, and meetings about solar and renewable energy and other green initiatives.
