Careem Appoints Nuzhat Naweed as VP of Customer Experience

Careem, the region’s leading ride-hailing service, announced today the appointment of Nuzhat Naweed as Vice President of Customer Experience. In this role, Naweed will lead Careem’s Customer Experience vision, strategy and satisfaction measures to deliver a significantly enhanced experience to customers.

Naweed brings a solid track record in Customer Experience, digital commerce and product management. She will be responsible for reviewing all products through the customer lens, advocating cross-functionally to co-create solutions and leading research activities within the industry and beyond to seek out opportunities for innovation. As an advocator for customers, Naweed will help Careem continue to be an early adopter of technologies and trends in customer experience.

Naweed joins Careem from Germany-based fashion e-commerce giant Zalando, where she was responsible for ensuring customer experience was a key differentiator for the platform. She helped establish the company as a forerunner in the mobile industry and successfully championed a cultural shift which placed the voice of the customer at the core of their strategic development and design of digital products.

Previously, Nuzhat worked in the UK as Head of Technology and Digital Experience at ASOS where she spearheaded personalisation and loyalty, and prior to that headed the digital transformation at BBC Worldwide where she was responsible for the experience of consumer-facing brands such as Top Gear and BBC Global iPlayer.

Nuzhat holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Cardiff and a Masters in Technology Aston University in the UK.
