UAE Nursing & Midwifery Council organizes “UAE NMC Annual Scientific Committees Forum”

Dubai - MENA Herald: Under the patronage of the President of the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Council (UAE NMC) HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE NMC with support from the UAE Ministry of Health, is organizing the “UAE NMC Annual Scientific Committees Forum”.

The forum organized to celebrate and recognize the excellent work of the members of the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Scientific Committees, and to bring members of these committees and the board member of the council and stake holders together to acknowledge their contributions and to share achievements and identify challenges and to envision the future.  

The goal of this event is to:

  1. Highlight the history and development of each scientific committee
  2. Share experiences and achievements
  3. Identify challenges and agree on priorities
  4. Engage in envisioning session to imagine the future
  5. Agree on main strategic directions for 2016- 2018

This event attended by more than seventy (70) members of UAE NMC, CNOs and nursing leaders from all MOH, HAAD and DHA, DHCC and other healthcare entities. 

The Council was established by a Cabinet resolution in 2009 to unify standards of nursing and midwifery registration, education and practice, and was officially launched in March 2010.  Since then, the Council, led by a representative board with membership from all relevant regulatory, health care and educational entities, has made significant accomplishments, through the contributions of the members of these scientific committees.
