National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) sponsored the second Career Fair held by the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) in an aim to provide young Kuwaiti talents with recruitment opportunities in the private sector by creating a direct exchange platform between companies from the sector and those looking for employment.
The sponsorship comes as part of NBK’s continued commitment to supporting young talents in Kuwait and training them for the workplace. The Bank focused during the exhibition on introducing the requirements of various job positions and helping them identify and draw their career path.
Commenting on the success of the Fair, Mr. Emad Al-Ablani General Manager of Group Human Resources, said, “NBK invests great efforts in recruiting and developing the skills of young Kuwaiti talents. Our sponsorship of the MGRP Career Fair reaffirms its commitment in helping them achieve their ambitions and objectives.”
Al-Ablani added that NBK is proud to see its young employees successfully grow to leadership positions in the Bank, making it’s the preferred institution for recruiting newly graduated Kuwaitis as well as those looking for a promising career. On another hand, Mr. Abdulla Al-Jassim, Head of Recruitment at the Bank, said: “Our participation in the Career Fair aims at spreading the culture of working in the private sector and attracting young Kuwaiti talents to the banking sector.”
NBK welcomed more than 200 job seekers during the Career Fair and appointed 102 applicants during the event, while it directed another 40 applicants to complete the second phase of interviews with various departments.
Al-Jassim added that applicants are appointed to each department based on their qualifications and abilities, properly investing their talents to their benefit and to help them grow.
