The Council reviewed the means of launching a global dialogue as regards a new comprehensive human-based approach for economic growth in the light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), under the umbrella of the Centre for the New Economy and Society of the World Economic Forum, and in cooperation with the Global Future Council on the New Economic Agenda.

Participants stressed the importance of establishing a new social contract due to factors affecting the future of the world such as globalization, the economic shift from the west to the east, and urbanizations.
