Dubai - MENA Herald: On Friday, February 12, Disney in Concert: Frozen - brought to the UAE by FLASH Entertainment and the du Live! Platform - premiered in Abu Dhabi at the du Forum on Yas Island. Over 120 children with various special needs from Al Manzil School and Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities – accompanied by their families and teachers – attended as the guests of honour on the opening afternoon. The children were given the rare opportunity to enjoy Disney’s Frozen, the highest grossing Disney animated movie of all time, accompanied by a live orchestra and soloists bringing the musical soundtrack to life.
120 guests were assisted by du volunteers as they collected them from their respective school and centre, and engaged in enjoyable activities such as singing and story-telling during the bus rides to and from the du Forum. In addition, parents, families and teachers were invited to the event to share the joy of the musical with their children. du strives to empower and bring joy to entire communities in meaningful ways through the du Live! Platform and CSR programmes. In addition to bringing entertainment to families across the country, engaging and empowering children from all backgrounds is something the company feels very strongly about.

Not only did the children have the opportunity to sing along to their favourite songs from Disney’s award winning movie but they were able to enjoy a truly immersive experience, with ice crystals decorating the du Forum, and snow falling from the ceiling during the final scene. The exciting event thrilled the children, who were transported to a magical evening for the event.

Previously, du has taken children from various charity organisations and schools to see several other Disney favourites – such as Beauty and the Beast at du Forum, as well as the premiere of Penguins of Madagascar in Mall of the Emirates. Sponsored by du, Disney in Concert: Frozen, was the first of its kind in the UAE, providing a screening of the film, accompanied by a live Orchestra, choir and professionally trained singers.
