Sharjah - MENA Herald: As part of its commitment to supporting the growth of female entrepreneurs and fostering young talent in the region, Crescent Enterprises has entered into a partnership with the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), contributing to its Collage Talent Center and Ebriez Exhibition.

Crescent Enterprises will support the club to reach 11,000 community members through a range of educational and talent workshops including sessions on entrepreneurship. Additionally, the partnership gave 33 entrepreneurs – of whom the majority are women – the opportunity to promote their products during SLC’s Ebriez Fashion Exhibition, which took place in June.

The SLC Collage Talent Center was launched in January 2015 by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed AlQasimi, wife of His Highness, the Rule of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The center strives to be the leading woman & child center in the Emirates, providing the best talent stimulating programs for women and children. The facility offers a variety of programs including: educational programmes, art workshops, interior design sessions, children’s camps, language classes and music classes amongst several others.

Commenting on the partnership, Ola Al Haj Hussin, Corporate Citizenship Manager, Crescent Enterprises said, “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with the Sharjah Ladies Club to ensure that more women and children have access to a community space in which to develop their knowledge and skills and nurture their talents – be they advanced or undiscovered.”

She added, “Crescent Enterprises is committed to supporting and developing female entrepreneurs and young talent across the region because we believe this is key to building more inclusive societies and economies which are sustainable in the long-term.”

Ashwaq Al Harmoudi, Corporate Relations and Sponsorship Manager, Sharjah Ladies Club said: “The goal of the Collage Talent Center is to create the best learning environment for women and children, by providing high-quality educational and entertainment opportunities all under one roof.

She added: “In 2015, we had a community of over 10,000 and our goal for 2016 was to increase that by 40 per cent. We want to thank Crescent Enterprises for their support and we look forward to working with them to reach an even wider community of women and children.”
