Dubai - MENA Herald: As part of its efforts to support creative and commercially-minded Emirati youth and to help them turn their business ideas into reality, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiative, Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development programme, launched two commercial projects with the opening of the Cocolis and Garden Worx in Dubai recently. These two new commercial projects were launched in the presence of Dubai Chamber officials including H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, and Essa Al Zaabi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, and General Coordinator of Tejar Dubai, as well as a number of prominent businessmen and participants of the entrepreneurship development programme. H.E. Al Ghurair stated that the launch of these projects reflects Tejar Dubai’s commitment to support young Emirati entrepreneurial talent to enter the world of business with their own commercial projects without hassles and make a success of their business idea. Based on three pillars including assessment, development and empower, the entrepreneurship development programme provides aspiring entrepreneurs a wide range of training and tips from experts in the field, he said. The Chairman of Dubai Chamber lauded the young entrepreneurs’ enthusiasm in coming up with innovative ideas and their will to turn them into a viable business project besides contributing to the economic boom of the emirate as he wished them all the success in the competitive business world. The Cocolis project features organic products containing natural cocoa butter with no preservative added and are prepared under the supervision of experts and specialists in the chocolate industry. Kadfoor bin Beyat Al Falasi, the owner of the showroom located at Wasl Vita Mall expressed his delight in the opening of the project which he said is targeted at all natural chocolate lovers besides offering gift packages for corporate, government and private institutions. Al Falasi, who now plans to open two more branches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai next year, said that the Tejar Dubai programme provided a thorough knowledge about project management right from training and guidance in the financial and operational plans up to the launch of the project in record time. Another project launched is the Garden Worx by its co-founder Ali Sharafi who is also a participant of Tejar Dubai whose business provides residential gardening and landscaping solutions involving the provision of plants, flowers, garden furniture and swimming pools as well as maintenance for these services. Extremely happy with the launch of this project, Ali Sharafi pointed out that there is a growing demand for gardening and home maintenance services as the homeowners do not have enough time or experience to maintain and decorate their gardens themselves. Ali Sharafi added that Tejar Dubai directly contributed to the realisation of his dream through its intensive training and workshops, as well as its support and advice which helped him to transit into the world of entrepreneurship. On his part, Essa Al Zaabi stated that the Tejar Dubai programme has this year launched 9 commercial projects and with this launch the number has shot up to 13 which has come in a year’s time. This shows that the entrepreneurship development programme is rightly providing guidance to the young Emirati talents’ innovative ideas while inspiring them to set up their own businesses, he said. Al Zaabi pointed out that the Tejar Dubai programme’s training workshops and guidance help create an ideal platform for the development of young entrepreneurs and provide them the advice and expertise needed to launch their projects while inspiring others to follow suit. The Tejar Dubai initiative, launched by Dubai Chamber, provides youth with access to an extensive development programme, including classroom learning, on-site training, mentoring and business advice, as well as networking opportunities with local and international business leaders and access to investment capital while helping them establish their own small-to-medium-sized businesses. With its commitment to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which emphasises that entrepreneurship is the shortest route to a bright future, the training programme aims to find and train creative and commercially-minded youth to help them turn their business ideas into a reality.
