MD & CEO of DEWA receives new Italian Ambassador to UAE

Dubai - MENA Herald: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received at his office, HE Liborio Stellino, Italian Ambassador to the UAE, who recently started his duties in this position, attended by Umberto Bernardo, First Commercial Secretary of the Embassy of Italy. The meetings are one of many to DEWA to consolidate joint cooperation with the diplomatic and consular missions in the UAE.

The meeting reflects the long relationship between the two parties, where Al Tayer welcomed the new Italian Ambassador, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission and stressing the importance of joint cooperation between DEWA and Italian companies and institutions in energy.

Al Tayer highlighted the importance of developing these close ties to improve mutual benefits.

Al Tayer outlined the most important development projects and strategic initiatives undertaken by DEWA in Dubai, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park, the Hassyan clean coal power plant project, the smart grid project, and DEWA’s three smart initiatives as part of Smart Dubai initiative.

The Italian delegates expressed their interest in participating in DEWA’s projects, thanking Al Tayer for the warm reception and providing the opportunity for both sides to discuss joint cooperation opportunities and promote bilateral relations.
