MBRF announces extension of Nobel Museum Exhibition until end of May

Dubai - MENA Herald: Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) concluded the activities of the Nobel Prize Series - Dubai 2016, organized by the Foundation to promote the concepts of creativity and innovation among students and youth groups as well as community members in a rare engagement opportunity with three Nobel Prize winners from the fields of Chemistry and Physics.
On the occasion, His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF, announced the extension of activities of the Nobel Museum Exhibition 2016 until the end of May. HE Bin Huwaireb also stated that the Nobel Prize Series - Dubai 2016 will be organised as an annual event to achieve the vision of the country's leadership to support innovation and integrate youth in knowledge activities to inspire them to become Nobel Prize winners in the near future.
The final day activities of the Nobel Prize Series, held from March 20 to 21, included a roundtable featuring HE Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and HE Jamal bin Huwaireb, in addition to the three Nobel Laureates and a number of specialists and representatives of government and private sector companies.
The roundtable discussed the knowledge concepts, and the importance of increasing public participation in the study of science. It also highlighted the role of the private sector in supporting innovation by investing in education.
Speaking on the occasion, HE Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi stressed the need to invest in human development by enabling school and university students to enhance their capabilities in innovation and creativity. HE Al Hammadi said the ministry is in the process of assessing universities to develop their capacities in accordance with the best international standards, and is offering specialised programmes to support creative talents in public schools. HE Al Hammadi explained that undergraduate majors must be prepared with the skills sets to match the labour market requirements.
The final day of the Nobel Prize Series - Dubai 2016 also included panel discussions and lectures by the Nobel Laureates who highlighted the importance of organising events and activities to help integrate all members of the society in the efforts to enhance knowledge levels. They emphasised the need to create happiness in classrooms and provide opportunities to improve interactive relations between students and teachers to achieve positive results in the transfer of knowledge.
