Dubai - MENA Herald: Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group met with a delegation from the Dubai Economic Council on Thursday 29 September 2016. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Hani Rashid Al Hamli, Secretary General, Dubai Economic Council and Nasser Humaid Al Suwaidi, Director of Investment. Also present was Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman & CEO, Al Habtoor Group and Abdul Salam Al Marzooqi, General Manager of Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation.
They discussed the importance of the role of the Dubai Economic Council in establishing Dubai’s economic standing in the international forums.
Khalaf Al Habtoor said, “Dubai is a land of opportunity. There are so many opportunities for investors here. It is not just a tourism destination. The city of Dubai has transformed itself in recent years. It is a shining example to the rest of the world.”
He added that it is important for successful businessmen and women in the country to be ambassadors for the country, and stressed the importance of hosting forums and international events. “Geographically we are well placed between Europe and Asia. We have vision, stability and growth. These are very important ingredients for growth and investment.”
Since inception in 2003, the Dubai Economic Council plays a major role in supporting the Government of Dubai’s economic policy decision-making.
