Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority Signs MOU with BeryTech

Dubai - MENA Herald: Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BeryTech, the pioneering Lebanon-based start-ups and SMEs business development centre, towards the support and development of technology start-ups in the region.

Through its Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (DTEC), the largest entrepreneurship centre in the region, DSOA will collaborate with BeryTech to facilitate and promote modern technology-based industries in the UAE while supporting the entrepreneurial community in Lebanon. Under the agreement, both parties will provide active support in the form of access to mutual facilities and networks, while facilitating training programs and resources.

Commenting on the signing of the MoU, Hans Christensen, Director at DTEC, said: “We are fully committed to supporting the region’s demand for the growth and development of entrepreneurship in the technology sector. In line with this priority, our agreement with BeryTech will enable us to foster a modern and innovative entrepreneurial community and reinforce our commitment to enable the growth of young and promising talents.”

He added: “As an integrated hi-tech park, we are committed to offering comprehensive services, amenities and activities to investors and stakeholders. We are keen to strengthen cooperation and collaboration with various institutions across the region as part of our continued commitment to articulating the UAE’s vision of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.”

BeryTech Chairman and CEO, Maroun N Chammas, said: “Through our strategic partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis, we look forward to implementing a wide range of mutually beneficial cooperation activities.
