Dubai is new hub for Swiss based Citizenship-by-Investment Council

Dubai - MENA Herald: The Investment Migration Council (IMC), the Geneva based Citizenship-by-investment industry standard setting body has this week opened offices in the Middle East and is represented by Citizenship Invest, the renowned Dubai-based citizenship-by-investment firm.

The IMC is reported to be a non-profit body acting as a regulator of immigration specialists it works to bring together the leading stakeholders in the field providing the industry a voice. The IMC sets the standards on a global level and interacts with other professional associations, governments and international organisations in relation to investment migration. The IMC helps to improve public understanding of the issues faced by clients and governments in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.

Veronica Cotdemiey, CEO of Citizenship Invest and the IMC’s regional co-ordinator states, “We are honoured to have been appointed the representatives of IMC in the Middle East. I strongly believe that the IMC brings to the industry a regulatory structure which was long needed in order to have a more professional and honest framework which will primarily benefit citizenship applicants”.

Cotdemiey continues, “The Middle East is one of the strongest regions in the world for investment migration applicants, therefore in this region the number of professionals related to the industry is very high and they are mainly concentrated in Dubai’’.

During the launch at TECOM, the IMC CEO Bruno L’ecuyer, in attendance, explained that the IMC is formed by the leading experts within the immigration and citizenship by investment industry acting as a bridge between governments, practitioners and clients. L’ecuyer added that ‘Dubai is the first of our overseas stations outside of Geneva to open, from here we go to Hong Kong, London and New York by the end of 2015’ we have and continue to work tirelessly with our board and Advisory Committee to bring about much need change and global framework of ethical and professional conduct to this relatively new industry, Citizenship Invest is one of the leading companies licensed by various Governments to process citizenship with a long-standing track record within the industry, and we are very pleased that they are acting as our representatives in this fantastic and respected business hub’’.
