Dubai Chamber pursues 4th Generation of Government Excellence System

Dubai - MENA Herald: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) organised a workshop on adopting the newly-introduced 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System at its head office recently. With its objective of informing employees about the direct implementation mechanism of the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System, the workshop was conducted by Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General, and Dr. Ziad Al Kahlout, Quality and Excellence Advisor, DGEP Secretariat General, who provided practical steps, responsibilities and tasks in adopting the system. H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, stressed on the importance of the new system of excellence in stimulating innovation which he said aims to improve the government performance based on innovative standards geared towards the implementation of the Dubai Plan 2021. “This also supports the Chamber's efforts in serving the business community in line with Dubai’s reputation of providing innovative services, therefore, the organisation started shifting towards the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System in accordance with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to uplift the performance for achieving the highest standards of quality and sustainable excellence,” he said. On his part, Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General, DGEP Secretariat General, lauded Dubai Chamber for its prompt action in implementing the new system while promoting a culture of excellence in the organisation besides encouraging employees to unleash their creative capabilities. He further stressed that soon after the announcement of the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System the DGEP team started taking necessary steps for the implementation of the system through awareness raising workshops explaining the mechanisms of the new system as the government entities will be evaluated for their pursuit of highest standards of quality and sustainability of excellence in the following session of the award program. The 4th Generation of Government Excellence System, which aims to improve the government performance based on innovative standards, is geared towards the implementation of the Dubai Plan 2021. It focuses on the results achieved as they set the base for excellence in government performance and services under three key drivers namely, the realization of the vision, innovation, and empowerment to attain the highest satisfaction rankings and people’s satisfaction. Dubai Chamber won the top spot for Customer Happiness and the Innovative Idea award at the 19th session of the prestigious Dubai Government Excellence Program award ceremony held last month in the emirate.
