Dubai - MENA Herald: As part of its steadfast commitment to bringing to life Dubai’s Global Endowment Vision – a major humanitarian effort spearheaded by H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – du has pledged to allocate a portion of its Emirati Plan revenue to support the initiative.

More specifically, du will be heavily contributing to the medical endowment fund and providing people in need with access to adequate related care and services.

du also was one of the first companies in the UAE to be awarded the Dubai Endowment Sign – attributed to private and public entities that have made hefty contributions and a significant difference to far-reaching, UAE-based community initiatives.

“The UAE has long stood at the forefront of social responsibility, actively launching community-based and government-led initiatives aimed at empowering those in need,” said Osman Sultan, CEO, du. “Similarly, at du, we have, since our founding, placed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the core of our business philosophy. In line with this, we are delighted to be awarded the ‘Dubai Endowment Sign’ and be given the unique opportunity to help provide those in need with access to medical care. This marks an important step in our continuing mission to help drive social progress.”

“In line with the government’s vision, we have focused at du on launching several initiatives in the field of endowment. Through these we strive to contribute to community development and human needs. We constantly strive to express our commitment towards giving back to the society in the various fields that we address, which includes humanity, environmental, educational and sports among others.”

Dr. Hamad Al Hammadi, Secretary General of The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy, said: “The ‘Dubai Endowment Sign’ - launched by His Highness - motivates both private and public sectors towards social engagement. We are pleased to see du’s commitment to the field of medicines endowments, being a leading organisation which acts as a role model to others and sets a high standard in corporate social responsibility. The Centre will work on transferring this experience to other public and private organisations for the sake of furthering social endowments.”

As one of his global initiatives, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid recently announced the creation of The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy. This Centre is designed to oversee the world’s largest initiative to support endowment, including a live legislative system for endowment and their relative products and services. The Centre will also implement the Dubai’s Endowment vision and strategy, translated in striving to translate its global vision of motivating organisations to maximize the potential of Endowments. The Centre will be providing consultation services to ensure the delivery of the highest global standards, and enlightening companies on the Endowment options for the benefit of Arab communities.

Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy will also be enriching knowledge in this field through undergoing research and studies, as well as organising conferences and workshops and signing partnerships, in addition to building capabilities and proficiencies for this field’s specialists.
