ADFD Offers Financial support to Emirates National Schools to Set Up Mobile Computer Lab

Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has offered a financial support to Emirates National Schools (ENS) to set up a mobile computer lab fitted with latest technologies and equipment.

The support will help ENS set up a modern mobile computer lab fitted out with a complete stack of educational software embedded with ENS’s Arabic curriculum that will be supported by a dedicated training program for ENS’s teachers

Dr Kenneth Vedra, Director General of Emirates National Schools, received the grant from Salem Saeedan Al Rashedi, Support Services Director, ADFD at the Fund’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.  

Applauding ADFD’s initiative and sustained support for ENS, His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Al Humairi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of ENS, said: “ADFD has always been a pioneer in supporting national organizations and a reliable partner in their success. In providing ENS with a full-fledged lab fitted out with cutting edge technologies, the grant will support the educational process at the school.”

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General - ADFD, said: “ADFD’s social responsibility program is a key focus area as part of the Fund’s active role in extending development assistance within the UAE and abroad. As a leading national educational institution that delivers quality learning in line with international standards, ENS deserves every possible form of support and assistance.

He added: “This initiative demonstrates our priority to support academic institutions as education is critical to the development and active participation of human resources in the nation-building process.”

Applauding ADFD’s continued support for ENS in fulfilling its education mission and adopting advanced teaching methods, Dr Kenneth Vedra, Director General, ENS, said: “Emirates National Schools is keen to offer its students the best available educational programs that help them develop their personalities. Towards this priority, we employ the latest techniques to augment the educational process and nurture students to become future leaders and accomplished individuals and citizens.”

Salem Saeedan Al Rashedi, Support Services Director, ADFD, said: “ADFD is keen to support initiatives aimed at supporting the Emirati society, especially in education sector. This articulates our continued commitment to CSR programmes in parallel with our key role in supporting sustainable development across developing countries.”
