Yas Island Celebrates its Most Successful Eid-Al-Fitr season

Yas Island welcomed a record number of staycationers and tourists during Eid-Al-Fitr this year as they enjoyed their holiday at the Island’s diverse mix of award-winning leisure, entertainment and shopping experiences.

Over Eid Al Fitr this year, Yas Island’s world-class indoor and outdoor leisure and entertainment attractions, alongside an extensive event calendar and mall promotions continued driving the destination’s value proposition as an ideal staycation hub. Attendance at the thrilling theme parks doubled in number compared to eid of last year, with a 100% occupancy at the island’s seven hotels. Similarly, the 24-Hour Mega Sale, triple-car giveaway and tax-free shopping promotion, saw the Island’s Yas Mall, experience a double-digit sales increase across participating stores.

Thousands enjoyed the firework spectacle at Yas Marina, which lit up the sky for three consecutive evenings, whilst others enjoyed competing against each other on the winding track of Yas KartZone in the Race for Eidiyyah whereby winners went home with cash prizes of more than AED 12,000.

This year’s sale gave shoppers even more innovative benefits, as Yas Mall launched a mall-wide tax-free shopping day, which added even greater value on top of already superb offers,” he continued.

The Yas Gaming Festival, which continued through 15 June, also entertained thousands with experiences featuring virtual reality, retro games, a showcase of the latest video games, cosplay and tournaments. 

With extended opening hours during Eid Al Fitr, Yas Island’s theme parks welcomed thousands of guests who enjoyed hours of family fun. Guests to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s Rollercoaster Rally was a hit with adrenaline junkies enjoying an evening of free entry after 6:00pm with non-stop rollercoaster action and excitement up until midnight on the second day of Eid.
