Second edition of Dubai Watch Week sees the region’s largest coordinated watch launch from renowned brands

Dubai - MENA Herald: Organized by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Dubai Watch Week (DWW)-- under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority-- is set to host the Middle East’s most diverse series of brand launches and key moments in horological time from 15th-19th November 2016.
For its second edition, Dubai Watch Week 2016 welcomes the newest addition to its programme -- the Creative Hub – a platform where brands will launch limited edition pieces, or timepieces designed specifically for Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, alongside new collections coming to the region, all to be unveiled during Dubai Watch Week 2016. Recent additions to the Seddiqi portfolio will also be presented: Ferdinand Berthoud, the developer of marine chronometers, the avant-garde innovator of Haute Horology, Emmanuel Bouchet and the Dutch master of astronomical watches, Christian Van der Klaauw.
Taking place in the Grand Atrium, The Dubai Mall, over 100 museum pieces will be on display in the region’s largest watch exhibition to date. The Mastery of Time, curated by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), designed to educate visitors on the story behind significant historical timepieces and their role within the timeline of each brand. The Mastery of Time is a fascinating retrospective display of significant timepieces through the ages from a historical or scientific point of view.
As part of Dubai Watch Week 2016, over 25 brands are participating across the week. The GPHG will be presenting their winning watches at the Ayyam Gallery, the annual travelling exhibition enabling DWW attendees to discover the competition’s prize-winning model, and the Horological Movements exhibition, focusing on watch movements and complications. Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons curated activation Make Time Your Own which will provide visitor with the opportunity to experience the different relationships with Time.,
