Dubai - MENA Herald: In its bid to change the face of Football Shirt Sponsorship, MBUZZSPORT today announced a global partnership with Royal Jordanian Airlines, who become the ‘Official Airline Sponsor’ of C.D. Leganes. Javier Tebas, President of La Liga, made a special trip to the home of Leganes in Madrid to support this important development – ahead of Sunday’s Madrid derby match between Leganes and Real Madrid. Mr. Tebas praised MBUZZSPORT for their successful role in creating this new partnership.

Royal Jordanian will now become the third Middle Eastern airline to sponsor a Spanish top-flight club - along with Emirates Airlines (sponsors of Real Madrid) and Qatar Airways (sponsors of FC Barcelona). In their first match as main sponsor, Royal Jordanian Airlines will go head to head with Emirates Airlines in the ‘New Madrid Derby’ - as Real Madrid take on C.D. Leganes at the Bernabeu stadium on Sunday 6th November.

MBUZZSPORT, the Dubai-based sports marketing and investment division of Saudi Arabia’s MBUZZ GROUP, signed a partnership deal in September 2016 with, C.D.Leganes, becoming the club’s main sponsor and acquiring all of the club’s Advertising Rights in a bid to offer other medium sized companies in the Middle East the opportunity to enjoy the same Front Shirt exposure as leading multi-nationals without the commitment of multi-years or multi-millions.

The unique MBUZZSPORT model enables small to medium size companies across the region to purchase front shirt sponsorship packages with La Liga teams in blocks of matches or months rather than years so as smaller companies can gain the same level of exposure as multinationals, but for a much more affordable price.

Having proven the success of their model, MBUZZSPORT is now in talks with several other Spanish clubs in order to replicate their strategy with C.D. Leganes and create similar opportunities for other brands looking to benefit from lower-cost, global exposure.

Royal Jordanian Airlines will use the partnership to promote its direct flight flights from Amman to Madrid. In addition, the brand is looking to raise the profile of Jordan as a travel destination to the western market and enhance relations with Spain. Partnering with Leganes will further accelerate the brand’s visibility across the MENA region and globally through the 500 million homes watching La Liga matches each season.
