Look forward to eventful final week of Dubai Shopping Festival 2016

Dubai - MENA Herald: The 21st edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival has entered its final week and is offering unrivalled opportunities for residents and visitors to benefit from a spectacular range of ongoing promotions, events, concerts, shopping offers and life changing mega raffles.

Shopping malls and retailers across the city are gearing up for what is expected to be a very busy week as families make sure they benefit from the world-class range of activities on offer ahead of the final day of the festival on Monday 1st February.

The 32-day Festival has already enjoyed enormous success but with less than a week to go DSF organisers the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), is promising a fantastic end to the world’s most popular and well-loved retail festival event.

DFRE has worked closely with its strategic partners and DSF key sponsors to make sure shoppers have a great chance to win during the Festival’s 21st edition including some amazing life changing chances that many residents and visitors have already taken advantage of.

Mega Raffles

The Infiniti Mega Raffle is offering one lucky shopper a day the chance to drive home with an Infiniti QX70 and AED 200,000. Raffle tickets can be purchased for AED200 from selected EPPCO & ENOC petrol stations, including: Al Ghurair Centre; Global Village; Al Fahidi Street; Al Rigga Street; Al Seef Street; Baniyas Road and the Gold Souk. The daily raffle draw takes place at Global Village every day at 10pm.

Shoppers can also win in the daily Nissan Grand Raffle when they spend AED 20 at ZOOM or Pronto, AED 35 at Prowash in ENOC/EPPCO stations, or AED 100 for any AutoPro or oil change services. The daily raffle will be giving away one of eight cars from Nissan – Micra; Sunny; Sentra; Tiida Hatchback; X-Trail; Juke; Pathfinder and Patrol. Both the Infiniti Mega Raffle and Nissan Grand Raffle will be held daily until 6 February.

The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group is running a mega promotion offering shoppers fabulous gold prizes every day. Many of Dubai’s gold and jewellery retailers are participating in this exciting promotion titled ‘100 Winners in 32 Days’. Shoppers at Dubai’s community malls can also win 5Kg of Gold this DSF. One lucky winner is still to be picked on the 1st February and will walk away with a kilo of gold.

Promotions galore

This DSF, shoppers have plenty of opportunities to win, one of them being with Paris Gallery and Watch Gallery. For every AED 750 you spend at Paris Gallery, you could walk away with gift vouchers worth up to AED 10,000 or a discount voucher up to 10% off on your next purchase.

DSF Perfume Theme

The final week of DSF 2016 also see the final theme of this year’s festival – Perfumes – take centre stage with events scheduled across Dubai but with the primary focus on City Centre Mirdif in the week ahead.

Among the many perfume related events throughout the week, shoppers are invited to take part in Dubai Fragrance Day, which will see over 1 million dirhams worth of perfumes being sampled across Majid Al Futtaim Malls in Dubai, as well as Dubai Airport Terminal 1 and 3. The record-breaking feat will be attempted by DFRE in collaboration with Paris Gallery, Ajmal and Dubai Duty Free.

Meanwhile, there will also be a specially launched Perfume Avenue in City Centre Mirdif. The Perfume Avenue will host influencers, celebrities, perfume experts, as well as exhibitions on perfumes, all for shoppers to enjoy. Daily programs will be available and will include private talk sessions on perfumes; entrepreneur sessions; private perfume launches and perfume making workshops. Shopper can expect special guests, as well as one of the most widely renowned noses in the perfume business - Roja Dove.

Exciting activations

During the final week visitors will also be able to enjoy activations such as the Market Outside The Box, which will be taking place at the Burj Park next to the Burj Khalifa. Thousands of shoppers have already been introduced to fantastic fashion retailers who have developed their brands in the region, while there are lots of homegrown entertainers and F&B vendors set up in the market. Fashion stalls with fabulous clothes for men, women, and children, accessories for men, and women, as well as home appliances are all available at the Market OTB.

Hermès, the luxury French House, opened the doors of its exceptional Wanderland exhibition to the public on 22 January. The fascinating exhibition, which made its debut in Asia in Dubai during the ongoing DSF 2016 is built on an area of 1000 square metres of The Dubai Fountains, as part of the ongoing DSF 2016. Dubai is the third city in the world to host Hermès‘Wanderland,’ after London and Paris.The exhibition, that has one part fashion installation and one part a show of artistic creativity, ends on 7 February 2016.

DSF is giving families the opportunity to spend their evenings enjoying ‘Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest’ – a special activation based on Disney’s globally acclaimed animated film, “Frozen. The family friendly experience will be active until 30 January at the ice rink of CITY WALK, the dynamic outdoor destination by Meraas.‘Disney’s Sparkling Frozen Forest’ offers a wonderful chance for families to get an insight into the world of Disney’s Frozen with an immersive experience featuring ‘winter wonderland’ aesthetics that children will enjoy.

Spectacular fireworks

Shoppers can continue to enjoy the fantastic fireworks that are taking place at three locations across Dubai during DSF 2016. Local residents and tourists alike will be able to enjoy the amazing and colourful fireworks from The Beach, located opposite JBR, as well as from Creek Park on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Global Village on Thursday and Friday.

Global Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural attraction, offers a unique shopping experience at several pavilions, each representing a different country. Visitors to Global Village are welcomed into a diversified but united world of joy, colours and rhythms to explore the world, one pavilion at a time.

Local residents and tourists can also continue to enjoy Beatbox at BOXPARK and Carnival at THE BEACH throughout the Dubai Shopping Festival, with lots of special activations for shoppers of all ages, including live music, roaming street performers and lots of carnival games.

The Dubai Shopping Festival will continue until the 1st February, giving shoppers just one more week to take advantage of the amazing deals, great rewards, and spectacular entertainment during this amazing time of year.
