Dubai - MENA Herald: The Al Habtoor Group announced today that Kamal Naamani has been promoted to Managing Director, Hospitality & Leisure Projects UAE. Naamani joined the Group in June 2015 Group Director of Operations. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of the company’s growing portfolio of new developments, including the much-anticipated Al Habtoor City. In his expanded new leadership role, Naamani will oversee all owned and managed Habtoor Hotels in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Habtoor Catering and Habtoor Laundry Operations.

The Al Habtoor Group has been actively expanding its hospitality portfolio locally and abroad. Earlier this week it announced the acquisition of the Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Vienna. This came fresh on the heels of the Group’s first London Hotel – The Hilton London Wembley.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Kamal Naamani to Managing Director, Hospitality & Leisure Projects. He has played a pivotal role in the growth of our hospitality unit in recent months both in Dubai and internationally. He is a strong asset to the Group.”

Naamani said, “It gives me great pleasure to be part of this dynamic and progressive Group.
I have always admired the vision and the non-relentless progress of the Al Habtoor Group under the direction of Chairman Khalaf Al Habtoor and I am fortunate to be part of it. I look forward to further contributing to its amazing success story.”
He added, “These are exciting times at the Al Habtoor Group. We recently opened our first hotel within Al Habtoor City – The St. Regis Dubai. I am looking forward to seeing all the hotels within Al Habtoor City open in the coming months. In addition to Al Habtoor City, work is underway on the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai, a four-star property, due for completion later this year as well as the St. Regis Dubai Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, an equestrian haven in DubaiLand.”
The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club marks the Group’s first foray into the equestrian world. The luxury development will incorporate a St. Regis hotel alongside 162 stylish residential villas, 24 of which will be St. Regis-branded.
Before joining the group, Naamani was Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Pragma Group, based in Shanghai, China and has over 21 years of luxury hotel experience in senior levels with Fairmont Raffles Hotels and Resorts in many key destinations around the world.
