Figen Caglar was recently appointed Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for the Jumeirah Group, Abu Dhabi Cluster. Figen brings over 25 years’ experience in hospitality across various Sales and Marketing roles, internationally.
Figen started her career in her hometown, Istanbul, where she joined the Hyatt Group and worked her way up from Guest Relations Manager to Director of Sales & Marketing. She successfully launched a number of new brands like the Park Hyatt Istanbul – Macka Palas and has been recognized as a motivational leader and passionate coach developing talent, driving revenue premiums and market share growths through strong client relationship, strategic planning and innovation.
Following a further 3 years working for the Movenpick Hotel in Istanbul, Figen joined the Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts group with Shangri-La Bosphorus Istanbul and spent 5 years in multinational senior Sales & Marketing roles, including her most recent appointment at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, where she managed the hotel’s post-refurbishment re-launch, team re-structuring and a number of targeted, high revenue-generating projects.
In joining the Jumeirah Abu Dhabi Cluster, Figen will head up the Sales & Marketing function for the iconic landmark property, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers and the newly opened eco-conscious beach resort, the Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
