Dubai - MENA Herald: Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure Show (DEAL) 2016, MENA’s largest and most accomplished trade show in the entertainment, amusement and retail sector was officially inaugurated by H. E. Butti Saeed Al Ghandi, Second Vice-Chairman of the Dubai World Trade Centre today. Top management from International Expo Consults (IEC) and industry officials were also present in the inauguration. Last year’s DEAL Show has signed over AED1.2 billion worth of contracts and, with the amusement industry’s growth and the upsurge in demand for services and equipment in this sector, 2016 is a promising year for the DEAL Show.
On its first day, the 22nd edition of the show welcomed over 300 exhibitors from over 33 countries and is set to attract thousands of visitors over the next two days. The show will be held until the 21st April, 2016 at Zabeel Halls 4, 5 and 6 of the Dubai World Trade Center. With a giant floor space for exhibitors, seminars and a new expanded section, DEAL Show 2016 caters to the exhibitors and visitors from MENA and other parts of the globe.
“We are pleased to welcome the stellar line-up of regional and international exhibitors and visitors at this edition’s DEAL. By 2020, theme parks and amusement attractions in the UAE are set to rake in billions of dollars in revenues with the rise of the region’s tourism sector and Dubai becoming a world-class family tourism destination. Entertainment zones today have become an integral part of the tourism and retail industry sectors,” said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC.
The DEAL Show 2016 also welcomed new features, setting yet another benchmark in the region’s trade show industry. New features include Blooloop’s DEAL Live, one of the biggest conferences for the industry, which was successfully conducted yesterday. A new section was also introduced: the Amusement and Franchise Showcase, where stakeholders and businessmen can replicate ideas using the franchise business model.
Sharif Rahman, CEO of IEC, stated, “Indeed, DEAL 2016 is an excellent platform to showcase and launch cutting-edge innovations. The booming MENA amusement and entertainment market delivers progressive solutions and framework for the industry, and we are positive that DEAL is instrumental in the regional industry growth.”

“Our marketplace is constantly seeking newer concepts, and the local and international entertainment and amusement sector successfully meets these expectations. The upcoming projects in the UAE, KSA, Qatar and Oman will trigger MENA’s exceptional tourism and amusement industry growth. These projects also increased the demand in the play services and equipment segment,” added Falaknaz.
DEAL has proven to be Middle East's gateway for all the participants and associates within the amusement and entertainment industry, allowing for a smooth transition into the region's market and subsequent growth.
The DEAL 2016 show is bringing exhibitors and visitors from various parts of the world including Belgium, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, UK, France, Turkey, and USA, among others.
