Ajman Media City Free Zone announces strategic partnerships in Russia to raise competitiveness of the free zone

Ajman Media City Free Zone, the new investment destination in the Emirate of Ajman, has emerged as one of the strongest free zone entity, offering flexible and innovative business set-ups to global entrepreneurs in the media, digital and entertainment sector.

His Excellency Mahmood AlHashmi, CEO of Ajman Free Media City said: “We have concluded a very successful meet in Moscow, Russia, as part of our global trade relation road trips where we showcased our services and solutions of investment in UAE.

“Russia is one of the most lucrative and important modern digital investment markets in the world. We have seen very strong interest in our set-up services and packages, which serve the needs of a modern entrepreneur.”

“Innovation is a priority for both their countries and the trade organisations and business community in Russia recognise our efforts in enabling a customer friendly and creative business hub.”

The senior management of Ajman Media City Free Zone held consultative meetings with a large number of Russian trade organisations, investment consortiums and CEO’s and businessmen who specialize in the field of media and digital investment to discuss joint partnerships and bilateral agreements that benefit the Russian businesses and establish Ajman Media City Free Zone as a preferred destination in the UAE.

His Excellency Mahmood AlHashmi, CEO of Ajman Free Media City shared that within few months of launch, Ajman Media City Free Zone (AMCFZ), is supporting the local economy of Ajman and UAE by attracting new companies, and active trade interests from chambers, trade organisations and investment hubs from key markets.

AlHashmi stressed AMCFZ management is committed to support investment in the fields of media and provide the ground for the growth of companies and development on the basis of instilling a culture of innovation and emphasizes the leadership's understanding of the role in supporting the local economy.

IN another significant step, Ajman Media City Free Zone has signed a marketing representation agreement with a leading

international marketing consultant, Consult Us & Thrive, in Russia and with branches in Moscow, Dubai, Cyprus, London and Uzbekistan to support its international network.

His Excellency Mahmood AlHashmi, CEO of Ajman Free Media City further added: “We believe in the importance of strategic partners and marketing representation who extend the highest level of service, commitment to our visions and enhance competitiveness of AMCFZ in a fast moving marketplace.”

“We have signed a series of strategic marketing representation agreements to further create a customer centric global network and our partners will play a huge role by offering highest standards of service in their respective countries to our potential customers.

This representative agreement was concluded in accordance with the system adopted in Ajman Media City Free Zone and in line with the Charters of Representation Marketing and promotion.

AlHashmi said that the city has opened its doors to Russian investments with promising opportunities amid an encouraging environment of laws and facilities that will allow the establishment of strong partnerships between the two friendly countries in vital economic sectors orbiting the digital media.

Adding that the meeting is a great opportunity to build new companies in the media, especially that investments in digital media will see a bigger boom in the coming years, especially in the Arab region. "The latest statistics confirm the growth of this sector and this type of investment.

Ajman Media City Free Zone: Entrepreneur centric investment hub

His Excellency Mahmood AlHashmi, CEO of Ajman Media City Free Zone highlighted the key facilities and decisions which reinforce the strategic position of the free zone:

  • AMCFZ management has put into place a wide range of packages, services and incentives aimed at facilitating investment in startups. The AMCFZ team has even created an online "one-stop-shop" that aims to easily connect entrepreneurs with the resources available to them.
  • Decision to abolish mandatory visa costs and the need for potential investors to visit UAE to set-up the company reduces the start-up and operating costs significantly
  • Start-up packages include privileges and discounts up to 22%, which help the new business owners reduce the operating cost.

AlHashmi concluded that these policies are adding more weight to AMCFZ positioning as a commercially viable and attractive investment hub and at the same time support the SME and entrepreneur community worldwide.
