Dammam - MENA Herald: Turkish Airlines, Europe’s best airline for the fifth year in a row*, held an Agency Award Ceremony event to commemorate over 50 travel agents in Dammam, KSA for their strong support in 2015.

Travel agencies have been a big part of Turkish Airline’s exponential growth in the country, owing to both its capacity increase and passenger growth in recent years.

Turkish Airlines started the first flight to Dammam 5 years ago in 2011 and grew the passenger traffic remarkably to over 87,000 passengers in recent times. The robust growth in passenger numbers across the region highlights the growing popularity of Turkey as a business and leisure destination and the world-class service of Turkish Airlines, which makes the airline the popular choice for Dammam residents.

Turkish Airlines Damman General Manager Mr. Abdullah Omer CELIK, said: “Turkish Airlines is pleased to hold this event for travel agents and we appreciate their efforts and support in 2015. We look forward to building on our partnerships and growing in this market in the days ahead.”

He added: “KSA is a very important market for us and there is a noticeable increase in the growth of the aviation sector here. We are well-focused on meeting increased customer demand by adding more flights and increasing our seat availability in the next few years. This is a key goal for us in many of our Middle Eastern markets.”
