Dusit International Continues Growth Momentum With More Than 50 Hotels in the Pipeline Worldwide

Tuesday 18 April 2017

Dubai - MENA Herald: Dusit International, one of Thailand’s foremost hotel and property development companies, plans to unveil many new and exciting projects at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 24 – 27.
With 29 properties currently in operation across four brands in eight countries, the group is in a significant growth phase which will see the number of Dusit properties reach 70 within the next three to four years across Southeast Asia, China, sub-Saharan Africa, the GCC region, Europe, and more key markets.
The expansion is in line with Dusit International’s strategy for sustainable and profitable growth, which includes balancing its portfolio to include half of its operations outside of Thailand by 2022.
The company, which prides itself on delivering gracious hospitality inspired by authentic Thai values, already has a strong presence in the UAE, where it has been operating the esteemed Dusit Thani Dubai for 16 years. Other key operations in the region include the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, which was recently named one of the world’s finest luxury hotels, ranking 28th in the prestigious league of The World’s 100 Greatest Hotels by Flight Network; and dusitD2 kenz Dubai, a contemporary business hotel which opened last November next to Dubai Internet City Metro Station in the TECOM business district.
Over the next two years, Dusit International aims to expand its operations across the Middle East, opening projects such as Dusit Hotel & Suites Doha, Qatar; dusitD2 Salwa, Doha, Qatar; and dusitD2 Al Manzel Abu Dhabi, UAE. Additional projects are under discussion in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In Thailand, meanwhile, in June 2018 the company will revamp its flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel as part of a stunning mixed-use project featuring residences, retail areas, office spaces, and the new hotel. During this time, it will also explore options for standalone Dusit branded restaurants and spas in Bangkok.

International properties scheduled to open over the next 12 months include Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore, the company’s first hotel in the island city-state; dusitD2 Thimphu Bhutan, which, with 83 guest rooms and suites, will be the country’s largest hotel; and two hotels under Dusit International’s new franchising model: DusitPrincess Dhaka, Bangladesh, and DusitPrincess Moonrise Beach Resort, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.

Led by Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer Mr Lim Boon Kwee, senior executives from Dusit’s corporate office, as well as representatives from its Middle Eastern offices, will be present at ATM Dubai 2017 (Stand HC1030) to showcase the brand’s current products, share the latest promotions, and discuss the company’s ambitious expansion plans.
Key focus topics will include company growth and development, Dusit’s focus on continual improvement of its products and services (including ISO9001: 2015, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 20121 certification), and the company’s commitment to providing high quality hospitality education.
