Honeywell (NYSE: HON), a global technology leader, will showcase connected software and hardware solutions designed to drive advancements in clinical patient care at this year’s Arab Health Exhibition and Congress, being held January 28-31, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) healthcare market is growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 6.6%, and is expected to reach $104.6 billion in 2022 from an estimated $76.1 billion in 2017, according to a recent report.* In line with regional government ambitions to deliver world-class healthcare systems, the increase in investment is largely attributed to a rise in chronic diseases, high demand for regional medical tourism, and medical technology advances spurred by digital transformation initiatives in the healthcare industry.

At Arab Health 2019, Honeywell will demonstrate solutions that integrate nursing workflows, clinical communication, mobility and care specific applications to ensure a safe, clinically efficient, and smooth patient journey. Other technologies include high-performance specialty equipment, such as printers, barcode scanners and wristbands, which improve patient safety and drive productivity across a medical facility.

“Honeywell has over 50 years of experience in hospital environments globally, and will engage with healthcare professionals at Arab Health to help shape the discussion on innovation and digital transformation in the healthcare industry. Quality healthcare is vital for a prosperous society, and we are committed to supporting healthcare providers in their quest to provide superior care to patients by leveraging advanced technologies,” said Miroslav Kafedzhiev, vice president and general manager, Honeywell Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS), Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META).

Visitors to Honeywell’s stand at Arab Health 2019 will be given a demonstration of various offerings, including:

  • Systevo Mobile Solutions, a scalable platform designed to give caregivers critical patient information, such as approved medicines or planned care tasks, through advanced mobile technology. The system can efficiently collect vital sign data, helps to prioritize patient calls on the go, and can escalate issues to other staff members through an efficient alert notification system leveraging data, telephony, SMS or e-mail transmission.
  • Systevo Guard Solution, helps to locate infants and their relatives in a secure manner. If infants leave the care facility’s monitored area without authorization, alert messages are sent automatically to medical staff.
  • Systevo Touch IP, a homogenous IP-platform that enables reliable nurse communication. The system allows caregivers to access patient data as well as record care processes directly in the patient's room. At a glance, nursing staff can identify which care tasks or medications are pending for the patient. Care services are documented immediately after provision: the recording of vital sign data, nursing activities, medications and other information subject to documentation are major elements at the point of care in supporting nurses. Timely recordings of all activities avoid errors, duplicated recordings or forgetting to make important entries in the patient's health record.
