Dubai - MENA Herald:

Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRC), the UAE’s leading rehabilitation and long-term care facility, has announced its plans to open a new medical facility in Dubai’s Motor City community in September of 2017. The new facility will be CMRC’s third facility in the UAE, joining a network of branches already offering expert inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative care in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

CMRC’s new Motor City facility is designed help outpatients, and particular special needs children, in the extended community to make large improvements in their quality of life through multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and personalised care. The center will also conduct outreach programmes to schools in the area. Doctors, families and patients who are interested in the new offering can call 800-CMRC to get more information.

Since CMRC was launched by private equity investor TVM Capital Healthcare in 2012, the center has brought global best practice to the UAE through partnerships with Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, a Harvard Medical School Teaching Affiliate. The center has also received accreditation by Joint Commission International, the oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care in the world.

“Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center brand is expanding across the UAE. Our new Dubai facility will focus, initially, on supporting children with special needs. We are offering comprehensive, specialized medical rehabilitation services that will assist them in reaching their full potential, and supporting their families and loved ones through the healing journey”, said CMRC CEO, Dr. Howard Podolsky.

“Our facility will support the local community, and reach out further afield with its outpatient capabilities. The center’s staff roster of international clinical experts supports its thrust towards benefitting young patients and includes pediatric consultants, physical medicine and rehabilitation consultants, and child psychologists,” added Podolsky.

“At CMRC, our aim is to grow nationally to deliver world-class care to communities requiring rehabilitation services. We started operations in the UAE based on the commitment the country’s leadership has towards encouraging investment in healthcare for citizens and residents. This is why we have prioritised collaboration with international experts and clinical partners to bring superb specialised care to the country, and support its goal of becoming a world-class destination for healthcare,” said CMRC Board Member Adel Al Zarouni.

CMRC is gaining rapid recognition in the market through its trademark combination of state of the art medical technology combined with a genuinely human touch. The brand’s expansion comes in collaboration with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, a Harvard Medical School Teaching Affiliate, that is the Center’s clinical partner in delivering world-class care.
