The 4th Annual GCC Healthcare Innovation Congress kicks off today in Dubai

Dubai - MENA Herald: The 4th Annual GCC Healthcare Innovation Congress, under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, kicks off today in Dubai. The congress is also supported by Oman Health Information Management Institute, Bahrain Medical Society and Saudi Health Information Management Associates.

The congress inaugurated by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. During the inauguration of the congress, Dr. Layla Al Marzouqi, Director of Medical Tourism at Dubai Health Authority addresses innovations in medical tourism. “The emirate of Dubai takes many steps to ensure an enhanced patient experience and service for the medical tourists arriving to Dubai for treatment. Comprehensive medical packages have been developed to really ensure a patient-centered care for the visitors. As part of our medical tourism project, we concentrate mainly on the three pillars of transparency, trust and talent, which have been designed to put patients at ease and provide reassurance during their stay in our city." said Dr. Layla.

The event is organized by Maarefah Management and will be held over two days, major international technology companies such as DXC Technology, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, and TPP will present the leading and latest advances in technologies and innovations in healthcare, scientific lectures and discussions provided by regional and international experts with focus on utilising the best of technologies to improve flow and clinical decision, while reducing waste and minimising cost in the healthcare sector, aiming towards one result that is high quality patient care, and features two tracks on informatics and leadership at the same time. This gathering is a key witness to the UAE leadership vision to enhance the UAE’s position to become a leading healthcare provider in the region and the world.
